Micro-Soldering Repair Service in Eastleigh

We offer a specialist micro-soldering service for customers who already know what needs doing. If you have a specific component that needs resoldering, a wire that has come away from the board, or a connector that has been knocked off during a repair, we can help. Please read the information below before booking to make sure this service is right for your job.

What is Micro-Soldering?

Micro-soldering is a precision repair technique that involves working directly on the circuit board of a device, using specialist tools to remove, repair or replace individual components at board level. It requires steady hands, the right equipment, and a clear understanding of what needs to be done.

This is a targeted service. We are not able to take on open-ended diagnostic jobs where the fault is unknown, as these can take many hours to investigate and may not result in a successful repair. If you are unsure what is wrong with your device, our standard £20 diagnostic service on consoles and phones is the better starting point.

The Kind of Jobs We Take On

This service works best when you already know the specific issue.

Jobs we can help with:

A wire has come away from the board and needs resoldering back into place

A component has been knocked off the board during a repair and you need it put back

A connector has become detached and needs reattaching to the board

You are mid-repair and need a specific soldering task completing that you don't have the tools for

Jobs we are not able to take on:

Unknown faults where extensive diagnostic work would be needed to identify the issue

Vintage or unusual electronics such as arcade machines, jukeboxes, or older equipment where parts research and sourcing would be required

Jobs where the expected outcome is unclear or where a successful repair cannot be reasonably guaranteed

Not sure if your job is a good fit? Get in touch before booking and we will let you know honestly whether we can help.

Micro-Soldering - FAQs

What is micro-soldering?

Micro-soldering is a precision repair technique used to work directly on the circuit board of a device. Using specialist tools and a microscope, individual components can be removed, repaired, or replaced at board level. It is a specialist skill that goes beyond standard device repair.

Can all devices be repaired using micro-soldering?

Not always. Some board level damage is too extensive to repair, and in those cases we will always let you know honestly before any work begins. The diagnostic will confirm whether a micro-soldering repair is viable for your device.

How long does a micro-soldering repair take?

It depends on the complexity of the fault. Some repairs can be completed within 1 to 3 days, while more complex jobs may take longer. We will give you an estimated turnaround time after the diagnostic.

Is micro-soldering covered by a guarantee?

Yes. We stand behind our work. If the same fault reoccurs after the repair, bring it back and we'll take another look.

My device has been written off by another repair shop, can you still help?

Possibly. Micro-soldering can sometimes resolve faults that standard repair shops are not equipped to handle. Bring it in for a diagnostic and we'll give you an honest assessment.
