Xbox HDMI Port Repair in Eastleigh

If your Xbox powers on but there's no picture on your TV, a damaged HDMI port is usually to blame. It's one of the most common Xbox faults we see, especially on the Series X and Series S.

Simon's Tech Repairs replaces Xbox HDMI ports in Eastleigh from £70, with most repairs completed within 1 to 3 days.

Signs Your Xbox HDMI Port Needs Replacing

HDMI port damage can show up in several ways. Here are the most common symptoms we see.

No Picture on Screen

Your Xbox powers on, you hear the start-up sound and the light comes on, but the TV says no signal. This is the most common sign of a damaged or bent HDMI port.

Intermittent or Flickering Display

The picture cuts out, flickers or drops to a black screen mid-game. This often points to a loose or partly damaged port rather than a complete failure.

HDMI Cable Won't Stay In

If the cable feels loose, wobbles, or has to be held at an angle to get a picture, the port itself is likely damaged and needs replacing.

Distorted or Discoloured Image

Sparkles, lines or strange colours across the screen can all be caused by a faulty HDMI port affecting the signal.

No Signal After a Drop or Impact

A knock to the console or a tug on the cable can easily damage the port. If your Xbox has lost picture since being moved or knocked, the HDMI port is the first thing to check.

Xbox HDMI Port Repair - FAQs

How do I know if it's the HDMI port and not the TV or cable?

Try a different HDMI cable and a different TV first. If other devices work on the same TV and cable but your Xbox still has no picture, the port on the console is almost certainly the problem.

It's also worth starting the Xbox in low-resolution mode, in case a display setting is the cause. With the console off, hold the Xbox button and the Eject button (or the Pair button if your Xbox has no disc drive) until you hear a second beep. If there's still no picture, bring it in.

How long does an Xbox HDMI port repair take?

Most Xbox HDMI port repairs are completed within 1 to 3 days. We carry out the repair in-house, so there's no sending it away and no unnecessary waiting.

Is the repair guaranteed?

Yes. We stand behind our work. If your Xbox still isn't showing a picture after the repair and the HDMI port is intact, we'll always take another look at no extra charge.

HDMI port damage is usually easy to identify. If a port has been damaged again after leaving us, for example by a cable being yanked or the console being knocked, we'll be able to see this clearly. In those cases the guarantee wouldn't apply, as the damage would come from a new incident rather than a fault with the original repair.

We're always fair and transparent about this. If there's any doubt, we'll talk it through with you before any further work begins.

Will my Xbox data be safe during the repair?

Yes. The HDMI port is separate from the console's storage, so a replacement won't affect your games, saves or system software. You can pick your Xbox up after the repair and carry on exactly where you left off.

My Xbox has been dropped, can you still repair it?

In most cases yes, though the diagnostic will confirm whether there's any other damage beyond the HDMI port. We'll always give you the full picture before any work begins.
