PS5 HDMI Port Repair in Eastleigh

If your PS5 is turning on but showing no picture on your TV, a damaged HDMI port is almost always the cause. It's one of the most common PS5 faults we see and one we specialise in. Simon's Tech Repairs offers expert PS5 HDMI port replacements in Eastleigh from £90, with most repairs completed within 1 to 3 days.

Signs Your PS5 HDMI Port Needs Replacing

HDMI port damage can show up in several ways. Here are the most common symptoms we see.

No Picture on Screen

Your PS5 powers on, the light comes on, but there's no signal on your TV. This is the most common sign of a damaged or bent HDMI port.

Intermittent or Flickering Display

The picture cuts in and out, or flickers. This often points to a loose or partially damaged HDMI port rather than a complete failure.

HDMI Cable Won't Stay In

If the HDMI cable feels loose or keeps falling out of the console, the port itself is likely damaged and needs replacing.

Distorted or Discoloured Image

Strange colours, lines across the screen, or a distorted image could all be caused by a faulty HDMI port affecting the signal.

No Signal After a Drop or Impact

If your PS5 has been knocked or dropped and has since lost picture, the HDMI port is often the first thing to check.

PS5 HDMI Port Repair - FAQs

How do I know if it's the HDMI port and not the TV or cable?

The easiest way to check is to try a different HDMI cable and test on a different TV. If other devices work fine on the same TV and cable but your PS5 still has no picture, the HDMI port on the console is almost certainly the issue.

How long does a PS5 HDMI port repair take?

Most PS5 HDMI port repairs are completed within 1 to 3 days. We carry out the repair in-house so there's no sending it away and no unnecessary waiting.

Is the repair guaranteed?

Yes. We stand behind our work. If your PS5 is still not displaying a picture after the repair and the HDMI port is intact, we will always honour that and take another look at no extra charge.

However, it is worth noting that HDMI port damage is usually easy to identify. If a port has been re-damaged after leaving us, for example through a cable being yanked or the console being knocked, we will be able to see this clearly. In those cases the guarantee would not apply as the damage would be the result of a new incident rather than a fault with the original repair.

We are always fair and transparent about this. If there is any doubt, we will talk it through with you before any further work begins.

Will my PS5 data be safe during the repair?

Yes. The HDMI port is separate from any component that stores saved data, so a replacement will not affect your saved data or system software. You can pick your PS5 up after the repair and carry on exactly where you left off.

My PS5 has been dropped - can you still repair it?

In most cases yes, though the diagnostic will confirm whether there is any additional damage beyond the HDMI port. We'll always give you the full picture before any work begins.
